About Your Practitioner
Founder,
Alan Khonsari is a Clinical and Medical Support Hypnotherapist
certified by the American Council of Hypnotist Examiners (ACHE) in
Glendale, California. He studied hypnotherapy in the tradition of
Milton Erickson and Dave Elman, who are considered two of the world’s
pioneers in the discipline of Clinical Hypnotherapy. Alan carried out
his studies under instructorship of Tim Simmerman at the prestigious
Hypnotherapy Academy of America (The Academy) in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Viewing the mind, body, and spirit as having a fundamental
interconnectedness with earlier childhood experiences, Alan continued
his studies in Regression Therapy with Gil Boyne-one of the pioneers
of modern hypnotherapy- at the London Metropolitan University in
London, England.
In addition to Clinical Hypnotherapy, Alan studied Neuro-Linguistic
Programming (NLP) at The Academy in Santa Fe, under NLP Master Trainer
and Practitioner Patrick Singleton. Mr. Singleton is the formulator of
Creative NLPTM , which embodies many effective techniques with
applications predominantly fashioned toward therapeutic settings as
well as many other areas.
Alan considers hypnotherapy to be a modality for communicating
positive ideas and understandings. That is, the client, hearing the
words and delivery by the practitioner, begins a line of thought and
forms new associations. Each set of association is then further linked
and associated to new ideas, understandings, and potentialities.
Consequently, bypassing or breaking conditioned clusters of negative
experiences and beliefs help the client construct a new map of reality
and facilitate cure. In the words of Milton Erickson, “It is this
experience of re-associating and reorganizing his own (Client’s)
experiential life that eventuates in a cure”.
Taking serious interest in chronic pain management, Alan enhanced
his studies by training under the world-renowned vascular surgeon Dr.
Angel Escudero, in Valencia, Spain. Dr. Escudero is the creator of
Noesitherapy, a technique which produces psychoanalgesia and
psychoanesthesia in patients prior to surgery, hence, eliminating the
need for chemical anesthesia. This method of pain erasure also has
been successfully transferred to the area of maternity and childbirth,
allowing pregnant women to give birth without feeling labor pain
in a most natural state and in the absence of analgesics.
Alan firmly believes in the uniqueness of each of his clients and
their individual needs. As such, he places much emphasis on the
clinical aspects of his work, rather than overemphasizing the
mechanical aspects.
Reflecting his training in the tradition of Milton Erickson, Alan
insists on formulating his therapeutic interventions to suit the needs
of each individual client.
